Dr. Sorenson's medical journey began at the University of Utah, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sport Science in 2007. He then pursued further studies at Case Western University, completing coursework in the Masters of Applied Anatomy program between 2007 and 2009. Driven by his ambition to become a podiatrist, Dr. Sorenson attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2014.
During his time at Kent State, he actively contributed to research, earning recognition as a contributor to the 2011 Compendium of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Sorenson completed his residency training at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital from 2014 to 2017, where he refined his skills in podiatric medicine and surgery, conducting research that earned second place in a student presentation competition.
Since September 2018, Dr. Sorenson has been an integral part of Family Foot and Ankle Specialists in Detroit, MI. He holds privileges at several well-known medical centers, including DMC DRH, Harper, SGH, Vibra RIM, and more. Before joining Family Foot and Ankle Specialists, Dr. Sorenson worked as an Associate Podiatrist at Eugene Podiatry Associates in Eugene, OR. Throughout his career, Dr. Sorenson's dedication to excellence has earned him multiple academic and professional recognitions, including Dean's List honors and the prestigious Eagle Scout Award in 1995.
